About the 2-Day Imlil, Azzaden & Ouirgane Valley Trek from Marrakech

Cross from Imlil into Azzaden, sleep in Tizi Oussem, then follow village paths down through orchards and green Ouirgane National Park to Ouirgane.

This two-day walk takes you from the mountain trails above Imlil into the Azzaden Valley, then down toward the greener agricultural landscape of Ouirgane. On the first day, climb over Tizi M’zzik and descend to Tizi Oussem, with the option of a side walk to the Ighouliden waterfalls. The next day follows a chain of Berber villages and cultivated fields toward Ouirgane, where orchards and olive groves offer a different view of everyday life in the High Atlas. Depending on the season, you may find local fruit to taste along the way. Your guide can also explain the community projects in the area, including the planned women’s cooperative house, and arrange a kindergarten visit when available.
