4 Days Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil Valley – Tizi n'Tamatert – Tamgaist near Tachdirt
Morning pickup from Marrakech and transfer to Imlil, where you meet your local guide, cook and mule team. Begin the circuit through the Imlil Valley, climbing steadily toward Tizi n'Tamatert. From the pass, look back across Imlil and ahead into the Imnane Valley before descending through traditional Amazigh villages to Tamgaist, near Tachdirt, one of Morocco's highest villages. Dinner and overnight in a local guesthouse.
Walking time: approximately 5–6 hours
Day 2: Tamgaist – Imnane Valley – Atlas mountain paths – Matat Valley
After breakfast, leave the high villages around Tachdirt and continue across quiet mountain paths linking the Imnane and Matat valleys. The day's walk brings changing views of cultivated terraces, rocky ridges and isolated Berber settlements. Stop for a freshly prepared trail lunch before continuing to your village guesthouse in the Matat Valley.

Day 3: Matat Valley – Mountain pass – Id Aissa or Tizi Oussem, Azzaden Valley
Walk out of the Matat Valley and cross another scenic Atlas pass toward the red-earth villages and green terraces of the Azzaden Valley. Descend to Id Aissa or nearby Tizi Oussem, depending on local conditions and the group's pace. Settle into a traditional guesthouse for your final mountain night.

Day 4: Azzaden Valley – Tizi n'Mzik – Imlil – Marrakech
Climb from the Azzaden Valley toward Tizi n'Mzik (2,480m), the final high pass of the circuit. Enjoy broad views across the valleys before descending through juniper woodland and village paths into Imlil. Meet your driver in Imlil for the return transfer to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon.
