This itinerary is perfect for those who want to experience the beauty of the High Atlas Mountains without rushing. Over three days, you'll trek through stunning landscapes, stay overnight at the Toubkal Refuge, and enjoy panoramic views from the summit. The extra day allows for a more leisurely ascent and descent, giving you time to fully appreciate the natural surroundings and cultural insights provided by your local guide.
Itinerary
Day 1:
Private pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech and transfer to Imlil with Atlas Toubkal Trek. Arrive around 9:00 a.m. to meet your local guide, who will share cultural insights and help you prepare equipment.
Begin your trek at about 10:30 a.m., walking for around 1.5 hours to Sidi Chamharouch (2,200 m) for lunch. In the afternoon, continue the 3-hour climb to the Toubkal Refuge (3,200 m) for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 2:
Enjoy a more relaxed start, with breakfast at 6:00 or 7:00 a.m. before setting out for the summit with Atlas Toubkal Trek. The ascent takes about 3.5 hours to reach Mount Toubkal (4,167 m), where you can enjoy sweeping views across the High Atlas and beyond.
Descend back to the refuge for lunch, then spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing, enjoying the mountain scenery, and having dinner before your second night at the refuge.
Day 3:
After breakfast, begin your descent back to Imlil, arriving late morning or around midday with Atlas Toubkal Trek. Your private driver will be waiting to take you back to your accommodation in Marrakech
