Itinerary
Day 1:
Marrakech – Imlil – Tizi n’Tamatert – Tamgaist
Your journey begins with a morning transfer from Marrakech to Imlil (1,740m), where you meet your local guide, mule team, and prepare for the trek. The trail climbs steadily toward Tizi n’Tamatert Pass (2,300m), offering panoramic views over the Imlil and Imnane Valleys. Lunch is served at Tizi n’Tamatert facing the surrounding High Atlas peaks. From the pass, descend through terraced fields and traditional Berber villages toward Tamgaist village in the peaceful Imnane Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a Berber guesthouse.

Day 2:
Tamgaist – Ikkiss – Aguersioual Pass – Matat
After breakfast, continue deeper into the Berber valleys through remote mountain villages and cultivated terraces. Pass through Ikkiss village before climbing toward Aguersioual Pass. Descend toward Aguersioual where lunch is served near the river with beautiful mountain surroundings. Continue walking toward Matat village, one of the quiet and authentic Berber settlements above the valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a Berber guesthouse.

Day 3:
Matat – Azzaden Valley – Tizi n’Mzik – Imlil
Today, the route crosses one of the most scenic landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains. Walk through the lush Azzaden Valley, known for walnut groves, terraces, and dramatic mountain views. Continue ascending toward Tizi n’Mzik Pass (2,500m), where lunch is served with panoramic views over both Azzaden and Imlil Valleys. From the pass, descend back to Imlil, completing the circular valley trek. Dinner and overnight stay in a Berber guesthouse.

Day 4:
Imlil – Sidi Chamharouch – Toubkal Refuge
After breakfast, begin the classic ascent route toward Mount Toubkal. Follow the mule trail through rocky mountain landscapes toward Sidi Chamharouch (2,400m), a famous pilgrimage site where lunch is usually taken. Continue the gradual climb toward Toubkal Refuge (3,200m). Enjoy tea, dinner, and rest before summit day. Overnight in Toubkal Refuge, with optional mountain camping depending on weather and client preference.

Day 5:
Toubkal Summit – Imlil – Marrakech
Wake early for the summit ascent. The climb to Mount Toubkal (4,167m) takes around 3–4 hours. From the highest point in North Africa, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the High Atlas Mountains and surrounding valleys. After time at the summit, descend back to the refuge for lunch before continuing down to Imlil. Your transfer then takes you back to Marrakech, usually arriving in the evening depending on pace and weather.
